What This Product Is
Heavy-concentration synthetic diamond compound is the same monocrystalline synthetic diamond paste as our medium-concentration compound, formulated with a higher diamond loading per unit of paste. More diamond in contact with the surface means faster material removal, which is useful for larger polishing areas, harder materials, and higher-throughput work.
Intended Use in Metallography
Used for intermediate and fine polishing where removal rate is the priority. It is selected when:
- Polishing larger specimen or platen areas that consume diamond quickly
- Working harder materials that are slow with medium concentration
- Higher-throughput labs charging cloths heavily
- A faster cut is wanted at a given micron size
