What This Product Is
A low-viscosity, two-part castable epoxy for cold mounting — cured at room temperature by mixing the resin with our epoxy hardener, with no heat or pressure. The low viscosity lets it flow into cracks, pores, and around delicate features for excellent penetration and minimal shrinkage, producing clear, hard mounts with strong edge retention.
Intended Use in Metallography
Used at the mounting step when heat- or pressure-sensitive specimens, good penetration, or clarity are required. Selected when:
- Mounting fragile, porous, or heat-sensitive specimens that can't take compression mounting
- Vacuum impregnation of cracks and pores is needed
- A clear mount is wanted to see the specimen
- Strong edge retention with low shrinkage matters
